The Safeguard 0.5% fenbendazole manufactured by MarSyt carries a multi-species label for equine, cattle, swine, growing turkeys, zoo and wildlife animals as listed on the label.

1. Can I use this on my sheep, dogs, cats, potbellied pigs, deer, chickens or other backyard fowl, goats, rabbits, or pet lizards?

4. How long does the product stay viable?
Two years from date of manufacture unless mishandled

5. My “animal’” will not consume it.
The Safeguard 0.5% fenbendazole manufactured by MarSyt is on an alfalfa based mini-pellet. Try feeding over several days.

8. Do you have a liquid version?
MarSyt does not manufactured a liquid version.

9. Do you have a gel version?
MarSyt does not manufacture a gel version.

10. Why isn’t there a measuring cup?
We do not include a measuring cup because all feeding calculations are based on weight. The Density of the product can change during transport and storage.

11. Why are the directions so difficult to read/understand.
Our Safeguard Dewormer is only recommended for the species listed on this label. If you require further assistance understanding instructions, please consult your Veterinary Health expert for recommendations. Product labeling is governed by the FDA.

12. How do I convert grams to lbs?
You could find an online converter of units of measure. However, here is the basic information for manual conversion:

1 pound = 454 grams
1 oz = 28.3495 grams
1 gram = 0.00220462 pounds

13. What is type B medicated Feed?
Type B medicated feed- An animal feed containing a new animal drug and is intended solely for manufacture into another Type B or Type C medicated feed that is produced by a drug component, a Type A medicated article or Type B medicated feed.

14. What is type C medicated Feed?
Type C medicated feeds [21 CFR 558.3(b)(4)] are intended to be fed directly to animals. They are manufactured from Type A medicated articles, Type B medicated feeds, or other Type C medicated feeds diluted with non-medicated feed ingredients. Type C medicated feeds may be prepared in dry or liquid form.

15. Who manufactures Safeguard Dewormer?
Safeguard® is a registered trademark of Intervet International B.V., a subsidiary of Merck Animal Health. The active ingredient in Safeguard®, fenbenbdazole, offers deworming solutions for multiple animal species. Therefore, there may be multiple manufacturers of products that include Safeguard as an ingredient in their finished formula.
